PAVN 15mm Vietnam Miniatures

Well, here is the 2nd part of my Vietnam 15mm project that I am putting together for use with Force on Force Wargames rules. Honestly, I cannot wait till October when they release the Vietnam Supplement for Force on Force, Ambush Valley.

So, back to the project at hand. Last month I put together some US Minis, and this month has seen the PAVN Minis have their paint job applied. The miniatures themselves are Battlefront Flames of War Miniatures. I was a little disapointed with the batch I painted, as the quality of casting wasnt very good at all. AND THEY ARE NOT CHEAP! But they do look good. I hope the carrier bag full of Vietnam Miniatures waiting for their turn to be put under the brush, are of a better quality cast.

So with a mountain of lead I turned my copy of Wargames Illustrated, to their article on Vietnam Flames of War, which included a nice colour scheme for the PAVN uniforms.

Why not flames of war I here you ask? Well I really really hate the idea of mounting my miniatures 4 to a base. I want my miniatures individually based and I would prefer to play my games man to man. So, it is a matter of preference really.

Here are 4 photos of the Battlefront PAVN Miniatures.

So my next project is either the Huey Helicopters, as My US troops are going to have a hard time getting to the Ia Drang without them! Then I think I am going to need to make some scenery, I could cheat a little and use the existing scenery at my local wargmes clubs. But I will need some jungle scenery to give it that Vietnam feel. That will have to be either bought or hand built. So while im trying not to get glued to some huey's. I'm going to do some research on Vietnam 15mm scenery.
